Volunteer
Safe Harbor Rescue loves volunteers! We are always looking for loving folks with some extra time and there are many ways to help, including:
- socializing kittens
- bottle feed kittens
- brush and pet with adult cats
- interview potential adopters
- complete adoption paperwork
- transport pets
- represent us at community events
- fundraising
Another great way to volunteer is by being a Safe Harbor foster care provider, giving a homeless pet a temporary place to live until a permanent home is found. Currently, we can comfortably house 10 – 13 cats and kittens at the rescue; obviously, the need is much greater and our foster care providers help us meet that need.
Veterinary care for foster pets is provided through Glendale Animal Hospital and we can assist foster families with food and any other expenses related to the care of the pet. It is an extremely rewarding way to volunteer, and the more foster homes we have, the more pets we can help.
All volunteers must be over the age of 18 and Safe Harbor Rescue is not currently accepting volunteers with court-appointed service requirements at this time.
